Kilverts Bar & Ales
Kilvert's has been named Brecknock CAMRAs:
Pub of the Year Bronze Award Winner 2009
We're passionate about our beer, and all our staff are trained in how to keep it in peak condition, from cellar to your glass. This has been recognized by Cask Marque (www.cask-marque.co.uk), a sign of good ale in consistently good condition. Kilvert's is the only premises in the town, and indeed between Hereford and Brecon, to have earned the award. With up to 5 handpulls, plus bottled ales, we're sure to have something for everyone.
We enjoy providing a range of ales, and the following ales are always available.
ButtyBach- 4.5% A burnished gold premium ale. Full bodied, smooth and satisfying. Ingredients:- Water, Malted Barley, Flaked Barley, Malted Wheat, Crystal Malt, Hops: Goldings, Fuggles, Bramling Cross, Yeast. |

Pedigree Marston's only use natural Burton spring water and traditional varieties of barley and hops (Maris Otter barley, Fuggles and Goldings hops), rather than less expensive, commercially grown modern hybrids, to create this 4.5% premium ale, still brewed in the oak casks at the Burton Union. |

Kilvert's Gold, 3.7% Brewed in response to requests for a pale, easy to to drink quaffing ale, Welsh Pale Ale is based on an old welsh beer style, and is a pale golden, mildly hopped session ale. Ed is currently learning to brew down at Breconshire Brewery, and this is our house beer as a result of that. Weak enough to enjoy a pint or two at lunchtime, yet without compromise on flavour. |
